II.

I am always so hungry right before lunch
and full after eating a buffalo chicken sub.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I wash it down with a Monster Energy drink and exhale a clove cigarette.
After all those years as a runner I never thought I\u2019d end up a smoker.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Big Dave and I sing Three Days Grace on the ride home from work
then the next morning he swings by to pick me up in his GMC Jimmy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Stuck in an endless loop\u2014
day to night, then it\u2019s morning again already\u2026<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n



VI.

Now I\u2019m with Bryan and his brothers
drinking beers before the Rolling Rock Town Fair.

There\u2019s a rotating stage and one time as it spun around there were fists
and flying guitars\u2014a fight broke out between Finch and Disturbed.

I was dry when I got here, but since then it\u2019s started to rain
now I\u2019m covered in mud so I reach down to the ground,

grab a fistful of mulch, and toss it up into the air.
This is my generation\u2019s version of Woodstock.

I was at the back of the crowd for Finger Eleven.
Tyler and I made it to the rail for Velvet Revolver.

I jumped up and down during \u201cSet Me Free\u201d
and I swear to God that Slash looked right at me.

I close my eyes and find new rest
yet the face of my beloved is so mysterious.<\/em> <\/p>\n\n\n\n
